  • The Irinjalakuda Town Co-operative Bank Limited (ITUB) was registered as a co-operative society in Kerala on 3 May 1918 and started functioning on 19 July 1918. It came under the purview of Co-operative societies Act and Rules of 1969 as a primary non-agricultural credit society and it developed into Urban Bank in November 1996. Before 1994, THE ITUB opened five branches. In 1994 and 95, the ITUB opened two more branches. In 1995, the Paid-up capital of ITUB was 100 lakhs. In 2000, ITUB became a Member of All India Mutual Arrangement Scheme and installed new software Windows-VB-SQL.
