  • National Australia Bank is shortly denoted as NAB started at New Delhi, India in 1989. The bank began to outsource back office positions offshore, beginning with a pilot with 23 jobs from the accounts payable department in Melbourne going to Bangalore, India in an agreement with Accenture, an IT software company. Over 200 additional jobs had been sent offshore by 2006. In March 2008, NAB sent maintenance and support for some core banking applications to India through an offshoring arrangement with Infosys and Satyam.

  • National Australia Bank Limited (NAB Limited) was formed in 1982 as National Commercial Banking Corporation of Australia Limited by merging National Bank of Australasia and Commercial Banking Company of Sydney. It was renamed as National Australia Bank Limited and it is considered as one of the four biggest financial institutions in Australia in terms of market capitalization, earnings and customers. It was ranked as the 21st largest bank in the world. As of January 2019, NAB operated 3,500 bank branches and 7,000+ ATMs across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
