ABOUT RAJARAMBAPU SAHAKARI BANK LIMITED

• The Chairman of the bank is also the Chairman of "SangliZillhaSahakariNagari Bank's Association" Shri. RajarambapuPatil, a veteran leader and ex-president of Maharashtra Congress Committee was instrumental in establishing an education society, sugar factory, spinning mill, consumer stores and cooperative bank in this region.


• He had a vision of developing the rural areas for which he recognized the need of banking. WalwaSahakari Bank Limited, Peth was founded on 29 June 1981. After getting permission from Reserve Bank of India's, the bank commenced its operation on 10.11.1981. RajarambapuPatil was the leading height of the bank and saw that the bank provides services to small and needy persons. It was his endless endeavor to cater to the needs of poor farmers of this area throughout his life. After the demise of RajarambapuPatil, his followers & board members handed over leadership to Shri. JayantraoPatil.


• It was unanimously decided to rename WalwaSahakari Bank as RajarambapuSahakari Bank in 1984. It has been decided from the inception that the management of the bank will work towards betterment of the society, there must be unanimous decisions which has been emphasized by Shri. JayantraoPatil. The governing body is formed by unanimous consent of all members. Head-office of the bank at Peth coordinates with all branches. It has a vision and a hope to grow on the strength of the management and employees. It is planning to expand its activities in Mumbai, Solapur, Ratnagiri& other major places in the State.

BANK'S FEATURES

• All 46 bank branches are fully computerized with their own data centre and DR centre. Latest Electronic and mechanical technologies are used in daily transactions to provide prompt and timely services to customers. The bank has been audited under "A" Audit classification since establishment. The bank staff are fully trained in computer operations. It has its own training centre to provide training for staff.


• The bank also provides financial aids to members, employees and their families for medical, educational and other curricular activities. It paid 12% dividend to shareholders since 2010-11. It gives priority to weaker sectors in distributing its maximum loans. The bank's latest services like SMS Balance enquiry, CTC NACH ECS, ATM POS, ECOMM, Mobile banking, RTGS/NEFT to all customers.
