STATE BANK OF MYSORE was established on the year 2nd of October 1913 whose headquarters is situated at the Mysore city and it is also one of the five associate banks of STATE BANK OF INDIA, which was merged with the SBI on the year 1st of April 2017, During the year 1953, Mysore Bank was appointed as an agent of (RBI) Reserve Bank of India to undertake Government business and treasury operations of India and in the year March 1960, State bank of Mysore became a subsidiary of the State Bank of India under the State Bank of India (subsidiary Banks) Act 1959. Now the State bank of Mysore is an Associate Bank under State Bank Group and the State Bank of India which holds the 92.33% of shares that is listed in the cities like Mumbai, Chennai, stock exchange companies.

There are a total of 1074 networking branches of State bank of Mysore which are located in most parts of states in India, but before the merging of bank with the SBI the bank had the total branches of 976 networking branches of State Bank of Mysore.
