The North Goa District is one of the two District Registrars in the State of Goa, India. The maximum guideline value in North Goa District Registration Office is Rs.7,200 per square feet which was quoted by the Public Work Department (PWD) officials for the properties located in Bardez Taluk, the area name is Marna. The minimum guideline value is Rs.24 per square feet fixed for the properties located in Satari Taluk, the area names are Pendral, Vainguinum and Zarani. The documents are registered with National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS), Department of Land Resources (Government of India), Department of Registration, Government of Goa.
The entire North Goa district is divided into three sub-divisions namely Panaji, Mapusa and Bicholim. There are five talukas in this district namely Tiswadi (Panaji), Bardez (Mapusa), Pernem, Bicholim and Sattari (Valpoi). In January 2015, the Ponda taluka was moved from North Goa to South Goa.
Even though there are many areas in this district, the PWD officials quoted guideline values for 251 areas which are considered as very important in the localities. Based on this fair value, the SRO’s register the lands and adjoining properties. As per source between 2013 and 2020, the guideline value of Bardez Taluk, the area name is Marna, is increased from Rs.6,000 to 7,200 per square feet. So, the rate per square feet was increased up to Rs.1200 as the development work was taken. At the same time in Bardez Taluka, the areas Corjuvem, Punola, Pomburpa and Olaulim rate has been reduced from Rs.2,500 to Rs.2000 which is reduced almost Rs.500 and these areas are considered as the highest reduction in this district. The officials also increased the guideline value of some other streets and its surrounding areas.
