How to change name in marriage after PAN Card?

The PAN Card consists of information like name, date of birth, gender, and the PAN number. It is quite common that a woman changes its name after marriage. Here are the steps to change name after marriage are as follows

• Log on to the website of UTIITSL or NSDL for making any changes or correction in PAN Card after marriage.
• After that, the applicant needs to choose the option of making required changes or correction in PAN card.
• Start fill in the application form and mention all the required details in the online application.
• After filling in the required details, you need to attach the documents to support the information mention in the document.
• Never forget to share the details regarding the existing PAN Card and by ticking the box visible in front of the name.
• Click on the option’ Validate’ to provide confirmation that all the mentioned information is accurate.
• After being confirmed, click ‘submit’ button
• After that, payment should be made for processing the request.
• One can make the payment using various modes like Debit Card, Credit Card, Cash Card or Net banking.
• Once the payment has been done successfully, you can download PAN Application form and takes a printout.
• Affixed two recent passport size photographs on the form and sign across it.
• You need to attach the self-attested document for supporting the change of name in PAN form.
• If you have filed change in name in PAN Card via NSDL, then the application sent to NSDL through post. In case change in the name of PAN Card applies through UTIITSL, then application sent to UTIITSL by post.
• You can make use the acknowledgement number for tracking the status of the PAN application.

• Certificate issued by a Gazetted officer after making change in the PAN Card

If the applicant is willing to change her name in PAN card after marriage through the procedure of paperless e-KYC. In that case, applicant has to submit additional documents and need not to send PAN application to UTIITSL or NSDL through post. Here are the steps to follow

• Aadhaar based e-KYC with digital signature
• Make use of the scanned documents/Digi Locker documents with e-Sign
• Using scanned/Digi Locker document along with attaching of the Digital Signature Certificate

Fee to make changes in PAN card is Rs 107, if the address of communication is in India and Rs 1017, if the address of communication is outside India.
